What is No.2?
No.2 is a no-nonsense psyllium fibre supplement designed to deliver a powerful fibre boost your body will love. Fibre is essential for your wellbeing - helping your body run smoothly, feel great, and function at its best.
Packed with psyllium husk powder (the superstar of dietary fibres), No.2 provides fibre clinically proven to support digestive health, gut function, cholesterol management, blood sugar control, and healthy weight management.
No fillers, no artificial additives, no colours. Just honest, high-quality fibre your body will thank you for.
What is psyllium husk?
Psyllium is a high-fibre plant material, made from the outer husk of seeds from a short herb (Plantago ovata), cultivated mainly in India. It stands out due to its exceptionally high fibre content (around 85% dietary fibre) with a unique mix of soluble (gel-forming) and insoluble (bulking) fibres.
These characteristics make psyllium highly effective at supporting digestion, easing bowel movements, and promoting regularity.
Psyllium is the active ingredient in No.2, and also found in other pre-mixed flavoured supplements like Metamucil.
How do I know psyllium will work for me?
Psyllium is one of the most well-studied and well-tolerated fibre supplements available, and for many people, it works beautifully.
But every digestive system is different. Some people feel the benefits within a day or two, while others may need to adjust their dose, increase fluids, or simply give it a bit more time. A small number of people may not respond, and that’s okay too. It’s all about finding what works for your body.
We recommend starting with one serve a day, drinking plenty of water, and giving it a few days to see how you feel.
Is it safe to take every day?
Yes — psyllium is safe for long-term daily use, and there’s strong clinical evidence to back that up. In fact, regular use has been linked to a range of health benefits, from improved digestion to heart health.
You can read more about the research behind psyllium on The Science page.
If you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication, or have a medical condition, it’s always best to check with your healthcare provider first.
Can my kids take it?
No.2 was designed with adults in mind (and all the digestive drama that comes with adulthood!), but the ingredients are kid-friendly too.
If you're thinking about adding fibre to your child’s routine, it’s best to check with a doctor to make sure it’s the right fit for their age and needs.
Can I take No.2 if I’m pregnant?
Psyllium is generally considered safe during pregnancy and is often recommended to help with constipation, which is common during this time.
That said, every pregnancy is different, so we always recommend having a quick chat with your midwife, GP, or obstetrician before adding No.2 into your supplement routine. They’ll be able to guide you based on your personal health and nutritional needs.
Can psyllium cause a lazy gut?
No — psyllium doesn’t stimulate or "force" your bowel like harsh laxatives do. Stimulant laxatives work by triggering muscle contractions in your gut, which can lead to dependency over time. Psyllium is different. It works naturally by absorbing water and adding bulk, helping your gut move waste along at its own pace.
In fact, using psyllium regularly can actually support healthier, more consistent digestion — not weaken it. And if you stop taking it? Your gut should still keep working just fine, especially if you're staying hydrated and eating other fibre-rich foods.
Who shouldn’t take psyllium?
Psyllium fibre is gentle and safe for most people, but certain individuals should be cautious. You should consult your doctor before using psyllium if you have ever had an intestinal blockage (a history of bowel obstruction), if you have difficulty swallowing, or if you suffer from a serious or long-term digestive condition. In these cases, a healthcare professional can advise whether psyllium is appropriate for you.
Is No.2 vegan friendly, gluten free and dairy free?
Yes — all our core psyllium fibre products are 100% vegan-friendly, gluten free, and dairy free. They contain no animal products, no gluten, and no common allergens.
The exception is our Collagen Fibre Blends, which contain bovine-derived collagen peptides, so they’re not suitable for vegans or vegetarians — but they’re still gluten free and dairy free.
When should I take No.2?
We recommend taking No.2 three times a day, ideally before meals. This helps support regular digestion throughout the day and can also help you feel fuller — a bonus if you're managing appetite.
That said, the timing isn’t rigid. What matters most is taking it consistently and always with plenty of water. Find a rhythm that works for your routine and your gut.
How do I mix No.2 for best results?
No.2 is more natural and has a higher proportion of psyllium than many other brands. That means no nasty bulking agents, but also a bit more care needed when mixing. For a smooth blend:
- Use slightly warm water (not boiling! just gently warm)
- Add 1 teaspoon (4g) of No.2 to about 250–300 mL of water (more if you want)
- Stir briskly or ideally blend using a Whizz Stick for at least 30 seconds
- Drink it immediately — psyllium thickens fast!
Can I mix it with juice instead of water?
Totally. Juice is fine — just avoid fizzy. Water or light juice blends work best.
Can I mix No.2 into food?
Yes — especially in smoothies! Blending No.2 into smoothies is a great option because it mixes well and you get plenty of fluid at the same time.
You can also sprinkle it onto your breakfast (like yoghurt or oats), but it’s important to drink a full glass of water alongside it. Psyllium needs liquid to do its job properly.
How fast will it work?
Some people notice a difference in a day or two, others in a few days.
Stick with it, stay hydrated, and give your body time to adjust.
Will it give me gas or bloating?
Some people feel mild bloating when they first start increasing fibre — totally normal! It usually settles after a few days. If you're sensitive, start with one dose per day, then build up gradually.
Where does your psyllium come from? Is it safe?
Our psyllium is sourced from trusted growers in India, where the plant naturally thrives. Each batch is tested to meet strict international export standards, including those set by the EU and FDA.
We screen for heavy metals (like lead), pesticide/herbicide residue, and microbial contamination — so you can feel confident that No.2 is both effective and safe to take every day.
What do you mean by natural sweeteners?
Instead of sugar or artificial sweeteners, No.2 uses stevia and thaumatin. Both are plant-based and naturally derived.
- Stevia comes from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant.
- Thaumatin is a sweet-tasting protein extracted from the West African katemfe fruit.
They’re used in tiny amounts to give No.2 its sweet, pleasant taste — without adding sugar or anything synthetic.
How many calories are in No.2?
Very few. Each 4g serve contains less than 8 calories, mostly from psyllium fibre that your body can’t fully digest or absorb for energy.
Unlike some fibre supplements, No.2 contains no added sugar or high-calorie fillers. And our natural sweeteners (stevia and thaumatin) add virtually zero calories.
So if you're looking for real gut support without loading up on extras, No.2 is a low-calorie, high-impact choice!
Are your natural flavours made from real fruit?
Not exactly. We use naturally derived flavours, which start from a natural source (like a fruit compound) and are then carefully refined in a lab to create a safe, consistent ingredient.
They’re not direct fruit extracts, but they’re still nature-based — just processed for stability, safety, and shelf life.
We chose this approach to help keep costs down (fruit extracts are super expensive), so we can make No.2 more accessible without compromising on taste or quality.
What’s in your collagen fibre blends?
We combine 50% psyllium husk with 50% high-quality hydrolysed collagen in our No.2 blends — a powerhouse combo of gut-loving fibre and skin-supporting protein.
Our collagen has a neutral taste, dissolves easily, and supports gut health, skin elasticity, and joint function. Together, they deliver the full benefits of psyllium and collagen all in one simple daily dose.
What is hydrolysed collagen?
Hydrolysed collagen (also known as collagen peptides) is collagen that's been broken down into smaller parts, making it easier for your body to absorb and put to work.
Our bovine collagen is rich in key amino acids like glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline, which are essential for building and repairing connective tissue, especially in your skin, joints, hair, and nails. It’s the beauty protein that works from the inside out — supporting glow, skin elasticity, and overall resilience.
You beauty!
Does psyllium affect collagen absorption?
Great question. Psyllium forms a gel in the gut, which can slow the absorption of some nutrients. But when it comes to hydrolysed collagen peptides (like those in our blends), there’s no evidence of interference — and plenty of reason to believe they work beautifully together.
Collagen peptides are very small molecules, specially processed to be rapidly absorbed in the gut, even in the presence of fibre. In fact, there’s a suggestion that taking them with psyllium may even be beneficial. By slowing the movement of peptides through the small intestine, psyllium gives your body more time to absorb and benefit (although this hasn’t yet been confirmed in clinical trials).
